Memory 13 from Book Sayyed Hossein: Nighttime Tears and Contemplation of Nahj al-Balagha

Even after the revolution’s victory, Hossein spent his pre-dawn hours in a small room at the Literacy Movement headquarters in Ahvaz, immersed in Nahj al-Balagha with streaming tears.

He wept aloud with Imam Ali’s grief: "Where is Ammar? Where is Dhul-Shahadatayn?", his quiet sobs frequently awakening companions sleeping nearby.
