Memory 7 from Book Sayyed Hossein: Prison Escape Plan with a Black Chador and the Liberation of Prisoners

Family members visited Hossein in detention. Defying his jailers, he was cheerful and fearless, whispering: "Bring me a black chador next time!"—plotting an escape in disguise.

Fortunately, it was not needed. Massive nationwide demonstrations forced the crumbling regime to open prison doors and free political prisoners.

Hossein walked out triumphant, with just two years separating him from his supreme sacrifice in the plains of Hoveyzeh.
