Once, an article by Shariati questioned the authentic chain of Dua Nudba. Without hesitation, Hossein consulted the eminent scholar Allameh Mohammad-Taqi Shoushtari, who authored an exhaustive scholarly response.
Hossein sent the critique to Shariati and distributed copies among university students. Shariati graciously thanked him and praised Allameh Shoushtari in a subsequent lecture.
